Koenigsegg CCX – Fast and angry

People were always in a competitive spirit, whether sport, business, love, or war; all this has determined the operations of people. From Napoleon to Kennedy and even to Kobe Bryant, the excel ability became the driving torch to reach higher heights.

This is a gung ho attitude that separates the achievements from others, from boys to men, from the poor to the filthy rich or to sedans super cars. Self-reliance urges people to work extraordinary things, just to stand out and be different, and especially if we are rich.

Precisely this attitude helped Christian von Koenigsegg decide to create a super car because a huge market is just waiting to be touched. In 1993 he started Koenigsegg Automotive Kft, a small, closely-knit, competent group of people. It was only in the spring of 2004 that he started the initial success of the company, which led the Koenigsegg to the CC models in the automotive industry.

They are currently in a big combat jet facility, but they still work for 30 full-time jobs. At present, only 7 vehicles are fitted at one time, 4 are pre-assemblies and 3 are in the final assembly phase. In a sense, their vehicle is customized and practically handcrafted.

CCX is a popular car, and the Koenigsegg Team plans to keep it without ever affecting the latest trends, but only within the limits of existing models. The CCX engine has been modified to meet the California standards, especially if the US 91 octane fuel is operated.

Many improvements have been incorporated; a new cylinder head, a double injector per cylinder, a new camshaft and a carbon fiber plenum, the catalyst approaching the engine, a new fuel tank and the 356 Aluminum engine block. All these CCX made cleaner and greener.

Since CCX is designed to achieve speeds greater than 400 kph, all other elements must be able to maintain this awesome acceleration. The chassis is semi-monochrome made of impregnated carbon fibers; the front and rear suspension are a double articulated wagon that can be operated with a gas-hydraulic shock absorber and a slide switch; a rolling bar and an electronically adjustable pitch; the front and rear wheels use the same disc brake (362 mm diameter) with 6 pcs 32 mm piston alloy brake calipers, while the Koenigsegg Advanced Control System assists.

The wheels used in CCX are the Koenigsegg magnesium alloy, middle lock or carbon / magnesium type. The front wheel size is 19 "x 9.5", the rear width is 20 "x 12.5". The recommended tires are Michelin Pilot Sport 2, which are unidirectional with an asymmetrical tread pattern. The steering gear used is a power-assisted rack and gear type that locks 2.7 turns and the turning circle is 11 meters.

The CCX engine is Koenigsegg, cast aluminum, 4 valves, V8 and double top cams with a displacement of 4,700 cm3. The output output is 806 inches, 6,900 rpm and torque at 920Nm (678lbs-ft) at 5,700 rpm. The acceleration is only 0-200 km / h in 3.2 seconds, the maximum speed is 405 kph and the braking distance is 31 meters.

CCX is not cheap and only a few do not know for itself, in addition to the mass production of the car, only very few come out of the Koenigsegg assembly plant every year.
